Kids always split the party.

The unwritten rule in Dungeons and Dragons is: Never split the party.

It’s hard for the Game Master to run the game effectively if all the players run in different directions. It actually no fun for anyone, its distracting, and no one gets a good go of the game.

Kids will invariably do this when ever possible, usually when its 2 to 1 or worse.

Three simple rules:

  • Keep your wits about you.
  • Watch all exits.
  • Try to wrangle them to the same attractions.

If all else fails find a central location and turn lots.
