The Sixty Second Rule

Whether you’re putting your kids to bed, or waiting out a tantrum, I find the sixty second rule is invaluable.

How many times have you sat in a pitch black room on an uncomfortably small child sized chair waiting out a tired kids resistance? Only to assume they’re asleep and making for the door when suddenly, “Daddy.”

Back to the impossibly tiny pink chair to wait it out.

The Sixty Second Rule dictates; Once you assume it’s safe to act, wait, count slowly to sixty in your head, then make your move.

It works more often than not.
