“Fine stay in the kitchen and get burnt!”
We’ve all said it. Does it work? Why do we think this approach will last longer than the moment?
In my experience it doesn’t work with any of my kids, even in the moment, I might as well say, “if you put your hand in there you’ll be consumed by fire and brimstone!”
And I have.
But day after day, week after week, I say stuff that is condsending to the max, completely and utterly passive aggressive, knowing full well that it’ll make no difference.
Perhaps I use this as a way of negating my frustration.
If that’s the case in not sure it’s working.
