You need a plan, a goal, a reason for getting up. Without these things your day won’t start; your kids will just hunger for something that you can’t provide.
Write it down, schedule it, decide the night before, plan it out.
Once you know what it is your doing you can be decisive in your actions and your messaging.
That’s not to say it can’t change, your plan also needs to be dynamic, kids are dynamic, life is dynamic.
Change the plan and start planning again based off that change.
