So often at school drop offs and picks I see parents run over and put their kids bags on the hooks, or collect them respectively.
What is this saying to the kids?
It’s it demonstrating a lack of trust?
Seriously do you want to be doing that for their whole school life and continue it through to their working years?
Instead of micromanaging your kids every move, choice, and decision you should be embracing their independence, celebrating their ability to do things.
They may very well be capable of tying their shoes, putting their dishes in the sink, collecting their bags from school.
Give them a chance and be proud.
