Life sometimes becomes…
Yeah, that’s right, I think the word is blah! One day dragging into the next, on and on into infinity. But that’s ok, right? Even if you’re a stay at home dad you’ve probably worked a nine to five before, and even those (perhaps especially those) become… blah!
But sometimes as a stay at home dad, this can be magnified, because, well it can be a bit lonely, it can sometimes feel like you’re the only one doing all of these mundane tasks: clean the lounge room, do the dishes, put the washing away… blah, blah, blah!
That’s why sometimes you need to step out and do something different, find a new thing that can occupy some of your time, the world’s full of opportunities. Take the kids to the park, take them to a movie, go see a relative, or make a friend in the school drop off and pick up.
If your kids aren’t around all time, i.e. you have a free days or hours, why not start a hobby, I recently started brewing beer, I had no idea how involved it could be and how many different types there are. I’m not a massive drinker but exploring the process and producing something that I can taste and rate and share is golden.
The world is full of possibilities and as such I’m thinking of doing a few week long topics, staff you can do as a stay at home dad with or without kids around, I hope to run through the process and explore some of the options associated with it.
Feel free to comment below if you have a topic you’d like me to tackle.
Most of all get out there, your time doesn’t have to be… blah!
